Legacy South Australia and Broken Hill supports hundreds of families every year. Together our impact on families of veterans has been far reaching and helped make a world of difference to many. 

Our Support

We’re proud to share the life-changing difference we’ve made together over the past year. Every outcome reflects the stregth of our community and the care that surrounds each family we support.

Utility Grants

70 grants of $1,000 have been provided to help families manage the rising cost of essential utilities, easing financial pressure and ensuring they can keep their homes safe, comfortable, and connected.

 

Housing

We have provided safe and stable housing for 15 residents in Broken Hill, offering security, support, and a place to call home.

Driving Lessons

30 individuals have been supported with 10 driving lessons each (valued at $1,000 per person), helping them take an important step towards gaining their driver’s licence.

Sporting Grants

22 sporting grants have helped individuals stay active, connected, and involved in the activities they love.

Advocacy Impact

Legacy South Australia and Broken Hill’s advocacy ensures the voices of veteran families are heard, making a genuine difference where it matters most. From helping families navigate entitlements through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to advocating for meaningful, systemic change, our focus is on creating lasting impact.

By working closely with government, community organisations and the broader public, we stand alongside families to make a real difference, supporting them to achieve stability, security and dignity, and ensuring no one is left behind.
