There are two simple ways to leave a Gift in Will: through your solicitor, or online through our trusted partner Safewill.
We understand everyone’s circumstances are different. That’s why we offer two easy options.
Option 1 - Through your Solicitor
If you would like more information about making your Will or leaving a bequest to Legacy, or if you need assistance in finding a solicitor in your area, please contact Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill Inc.
There are several different ways you can remember Legacy in your Will. We encourage you to consider which type of bequest is most appropriate for you.
- A specific dollar amount
- A percentage of your total estate
- The residue of your estate - this means what is left of your estate after your loved ones have been provided for
- A percentage of the residue of your estate
- Items of value (such as real estate, shares etc)
- Life insurance policies and annuities
If you would like to include Legacy South Australia and Broken Hill in your Will, your solicitor may use wording similar to the below.
I give to the Legacy Club of South Australia and Broken Hill Inc. Welfare Fund ABN 48 827 750 273, Torrens Parade Ground, 1 Victoria Drive, Adelaide SA 5000:
a) the sum of $__________ free of all deductions, or
b) _____% of my estate, or
c) the residue of my estate, or
d) (insert any other thing)
to be used for the general purpose of the said Fund, and I direct that the receipt of any of the members of the Board of Directors of the Fund shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor/s who is/are not bound to see its application.

Do I need to tell Legacy?
No. Your decision is personal and entirely your choice. However, we would be honoured to thank you and understand your wishes if you choose to let us know.
Can I change my Will later?
Yes. Your Will can usually be updated at any time while you have capacity.
Does my gift need to be large?
Not at all. Every gift, no matter the size, can make a difference.
Should I look after family first?
Absolutely. We encourage you to care for your loved ones first and always seek legal advice if you are unsure.
